It all started 25 years ago when we organized 1to1printers with a simple but powerful vision — to bring personalized, one-to-one marketing to life through print.
We were among the first in Houston to install a digital press dedicated to producing customized, targeted campaigns. The future looked bright — until a few weeks later, Tropical Storm Allison hit Houston.
Thirty-two inches of rain fell overnight, flooding our shop with five feet of water. Everything we had built, all our savings, our dreams were under water.
In that moment, we had two choices: to give up… or to get back up.
And we chose to get back up.
With the help of incredible vendors, loyal friends, and loving family, we cleaned, rebuilt, and started again — stronger than before. We moved to higher ground, and we kept moving forward.

At 1to1printers, Marilu loves helping customers find the right balance between efficiency, costs, and impact of every single printed marketing and communications project. Her passion is finding the best solution for each individual project whether it is generating graphics for a trade show, producing directional signage for a building, or creating a yearbook. Marilu believes that every project deserves our full attention and care to produce great quality, on time, and within budget. At 1to1printers we pamper your brand, and we mean it!
Marilu has 35 years of business management experience. She is fully bilingual and bicultural, having lived in Mexico and the United States. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University, and she earned her Master of International Management from Thunderbird in Arizona. Marilu worked for Goldman Sachs & Co both in NYC as well as in Mexico City. In fact, she was lucky enough to be part of the team that established GS Casa de Bolsa when foreign banks were starting operations in Mexico.
After her tenure in the corporate world, Marilu decided to take the plunge, along with Axel Krayer, becoming an entrepreneur, establishing 1to1printers LLC in 2001.
In addition to her professional career, Marilu has always been passionate of community work having volunteered in numerous non-for-profit organizations.
Marilu is in charge of the “behind the scenes” smooth operation of the company from accounting and financial planning, HR & payroll, to accounts payable and collections. In addition, Marilu oversees our company’s commitment to building a sustainable, safe, healthy, and responsible enterprise today and for many years to come.
